Rosario Dawson Returning for DAREDEVIL Season 2

Good news, Night Nurse fans! Marvel has announced that Rosario Dawson is officially returning for the recently announced second season of Daredevil. Dawson played the role of Claire Temple, a friend and confidante of Matt Murdock’s, who helped the vigilante heal his wounds after some of his brutal battles on the streets of Hell’s Kitchen.

Of the news, Dardevil executive producer Jeph Loeb said, “After working with Rosario in the first season, we knew instantly that we had to have her back for our second. Claire Temple proved a fan favorite in Season 1, and we can’t wait for fans to see all the plans we have for her next.”

In fact, Claire Temple has proven to be such a fan favorite that Marvel has structured an exclusive contract with Dawson that will allow her to appear in any of Marvel’s Netflix series. Over the next several years, Marvel will be bringing A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and a The Defenders team-up series. Considering how, in the comics, Claire Temple/Night Nurse serves as a triage nurse to all the superheroic defenders of New York City, it would make for a nice throughline to provide connective tissue between the various Netflix series. Honestly, I’m just hoping that in A.K.A. Jessica Jones, we’ll learn that Claire has been apartment sitting for Jessica Jones all along, so this is just another step in bringing that to fruition.
