Fans of Parks and Recreation may have seen by now the Tumblr Cats That Look Like Ron Swanson, honoring Nick Offerman’s character on Parks and Recreation. But if Ron F’ing Swanson is an awesome character (and he most certainly is), Offerman himself earns at least double-awesome points by responding to an avalanche of “hey, did you see…” texts and e-mails by agreeing to pick his favorite Cats That Look Like Ron Swanson for New York magazine’s Vulture blog. There’s a slideshow with Offerman’s commentary, and, yes, most really do look like the Director of Parks and Recreation of Pawnee, Indiana. (And Duke Silver, smooth jazz superstar)

It’s nice when celebrities embrace Internet memes about them and, by extension, their fans. Ron Swanson himself might not approve, but everybody else can.
