We are still a few months away from the X-Box One release of Rise of the Tome Raider, but now you’ve got reasons to get even more excited. Square Enix recently revealed the additional treats the Collector’s Edition version of the game will contain, and what players can expect is plenty. Packaged in a faux crateâwhich one can assume Lara finds loot and upgrade items inside of in the gameâthe Collector’s Edition comes with a retail copy of the game, a steel book case for it, a replica of Lara’s jade necklace, a replica of Lara’s journal, and finally a 12-inch statue of Lara Croft in all of her badass glory.
There’s even a picture of it belowâthough for anyone confused by the following image, the November 13 release date is for Europe, as is the reason for the PEGI 18 rating in the bottom corner. Rise of the Tomb Raider won’t land on PS4 until “Holiday 2016,” with the Xbox One and Xbox 360 iterations due out on November 10, 2015.
Compared to the previous game, Rise Of The Tomb Raider’s Collector’s Edition offers more in the way of replica items and true collectibles. The Tomb Raider reboot edition offered a lot more in the way of downloadable content items in addition to a figurine, art book, and a map (held in a small tin). Out of any of those, I sorta wish the new game came with an art book as well, but that is just to sate my nerdthirst for awesome concept art in gaming.
The statue, however, is amazingly cool and would look awesome on anyone’s book shelf or desk. Is it cool enough for you to drop $150 to pick up Collector’s Edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider? Let us know in the comments!
