Rip Hunter’s Team Comes Together in New LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Trailer

In just over three weeks, The Flash and Arrow’s extended universe will get a little bigger with the debut of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Eight heroes and villains, who previously made their separate debuts, will unite for a time travel adventure courtesy of Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his timeship, the Waverunner. In his pitch, Hunter told his team that they were legends by his time.

But as Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) points out in the newest trailer, legends are usually dead. Perhaps that’s why Hunter couldn’t bring himself to face his recruits when he called them “legends.”

The CW’s latest trailer for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow also finds White Canary (Caity Lotz) kicking a lot of ass over Hunter’s objections, while the team goes up against a previously unknown enemy whose tech seems to rival Hunter’s.

Despite the events of the recent Flash and Arrow crossover, Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is destined to conquer the world in the future. To save humanity, Hunter convinced Stein, White Canary, the Atom (Brandon Routh), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and Jax Jackson a.k.a. Firestorm (Franz Drameh) to join him. But for some of the team’s members, this might be a one way trip.

Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell are also guest starring on Legends of Tomorrow as the Flash and Green Arrow, respectively; with Katie Cassidy and Carlos Valdes also slated to turn up as Laurel Lance/Black Canary and Cisco Ramon.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on Thursday, January 21, 2016 on The CW.
