RIKER is the STAR TREK Spinoff You Didn’t Know You Wanted

His sitting habits alone are reason enough to raise some eyebrows about Commander William T. Riker, but YouTuber Gazorra shed some light on some new information that our favorite bearded right-hand man was taking the whole “Next Generation” thing a bit too literally.

With an edit comprised of reaction shots and scene transitions from Star Trek the Next Generation, “Riker” as its called, is almost an homage to the opening of Louie in both style and music. The fact it’s mirrored to the Louie opening credits makes me wonder why in the world was there so much footage of Riker eating? It’s cleary from different episodes. Was that something I’ve erased from my mind?

As the “episode” begins, we see the TNG crew on the bridge about to make an incision into what appears to be a… space pirogi? Don’t correct me, internet, I refuse to research the footage further. It’s a space pirogi and that’s final. As Data makes the first incision, we’re greeted with what is now our second favorite goatee in the TNG universe. It seems Riker has been making his rounds in the star system and inadvertently assisted in his new child’s space c-section. Sharing some proud grins with the Captain, but corrals his excitement a bit when he notices Deanna is none too happy with what has just happened.

So many questions about this weird and awesome video! How did Riker do it? Were spacesuits involved? Was it approved shore leave? (He’s a sailor after all.) Is the term “shore leave” still relevant in the future? Is Wesley upset he’s no longer the freshest face? Why did The Great Gazoo allow this to happen? Err, I mean Q; why did Q allow this to happen?
