RICK AND MORTY Embrace “Good Things” in New Auto-Tuned Remix

On the last episode of Rick and Morty, the titular duo became more and less than the sum of their parts when their toxic selves were literally split from their bodies in “Rest and Ricklaxation.” What resulted was a plotline straight out of Star Trek, wherein Rick and Morty had to take on their “evil” selves, who then turned out to be just as necessary to their identities as the “good” elements of their personalities. All in all, it was a terrific episode, and one we’re happy to revisit in “Good Things,” the latest Rick and Morty auto-tuned remix from Chetreo!

This music video kind of glosses over Morty’s darker turn late in the episode, when he realized that his toxic double was filled with his morality as well as his crippling self-loathing and insecurity. Freed from those restraints, Morty became a bit of a Wall Street monster–a success in business, love, and life in general. However, it’s implied that even this virtually soulless Morty missed what he once was, as he ultimately sabotaged his own estrangement from Rick and the cure for his new identity.

Since Rick and Morty returned with new episodes in July, Chetreo has shared a new remix each week. So far, he’s gifted us with “I am Alive,” “Pickle Rick,” “Noob-Noob!,” and “Whirly Dirly,” in addition to an amazing song about Mr. Poopybutthole that was created in collaboration with the Gregory Brothers. You can check out Chetreo’s YouTube channel for more of his music videos.
