You’ve been wondering ever since Marvel announced that Guardians of the Galaxy would be made into a movie directed by James Gunn: who’ll play Star-Lord? Deadline has the answer: Chris Pratt. And to those instantly thinking of him as Andy on Parks and Recreation, go see Zero Dark Thirty. (Or, for that matter, Moneyball.)
Deadline’s list of actors considered and, in some cases, tested for the role is pretty interesting — Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jack Huston, Lee Pace, Zachary Levi, Eddie Remayne, Jim Sturgess, and Pratt’s Zero Dark Thirty co-star Joel Edgerton. But if they were looking at Pratt’s co-stars, really, where’s Nick Offerman? If Ron Swanson can handle all the bacon and eggs you have, surely he can save the solar system.
Now, who’d make a good Rocket Raccoon? We have a trio of raccoons that hang out in our back yard and rip open our trash cans; I wonder if they have an agent….

im pretty sure Jason Statham is perfect. Sadly the only rumored voice actors are Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler. So who the hell knows.
Burt Macklin is Peter Quill, Star-Lord. I agree with Brian Michael Bendis, Jason Statham would be good for Rocket Raccoon.
Nick Cage as Raccoon. ‘Nuff said
Jon Benjamin for RR!
Offerman should be Rocket Raccoon. Or Tom Kenny.
Perfectly fine choice. This idea has just recently been bandied about but I would like to see Jason Statham as the voice of Rocket Racoon. It would be the one movie where he’s not plaing Jason Statham.
