Remotely Baba Booey

Is a universal remote control worth a lot of money? That’s what Gary Dell’abate ponders this week on the Nerdist Channel’s They Call Me Baba Booey, with a look at Logitech’s latest Harmony Touch universal remote. That thing costs $250, and the remote that comes with your DVR or Blu-ray or TV costs, well, nothing. So, is a touchscreen remote that has icons like an iPhone worth spending all that money for? Let Gary be your guide.

I’ve watched a few of these Baba Booey vids.

    1. Stop with the flashy shirts, the grandpa shirts, the short sleeve shirts and the stretched out t-shirts. Every shirt this guy wears is distracting. Just wear a regular shirt–maybe a Nerdist logo shirt–and *button* it up and *tuck* it in.

    2. Change the watch. Take off the flashy one and put on a dark sports watch if you have to have one. At least there aren’t bracelets or necklaces (so far).

Usually it’s like watching a street fence talk up all the products he got from questionable sources the day before to unsuspecting pedestrians walking by.

But today… Gary, you’re too old to be showing your hairy 2-tone arms and so much fleshy neck. It’s unprofessional. It looks like you just woke up and were farting down the hall from the bathroom and decided to record a video. Disgusting.

Get a logo shirt and don’t deviate. At most don’t worry about tucking it in, but the rest, please improve upon it.
