Remix Trailer Turns AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Into a Romantic Comedy

The budding romance between Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in Avengers: Age of Ultron was one of the more controversial parts of the film. Let’s just say that it didn’t work for everyone. And for the most part, Marvel Studios leaves the romance to the solo franchises like Iron Man and Thor.

So the latest remix trailer from Vulture has transformed Avengers: Age of Ultron into a romantic comedy, and it really didn’t take much to do it! It’s amazing how the narrative can change with the addition of a few upbeat songs and editing choices.

By default, Banner and Black Widow get most of the screen time in the amusingly named How To Avenge a Guy in 10 Days, and one of the funniest moments comes out of an implied romantic history between Natasha and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) a.k.a. Captain America.

However, Steve only has eyes for Bucky (Sebastian Stan) a.k.a. the Winter Soldier in a few bromantic moments lifted from the Captain America: Civil War trailer set to “Hello” by Lionel Richie. Avengers: Age of Ultron supporting player Dr. Helen Cho (Claudia Kim) also makes a cameo in the video as she expresses an unmistakable interest in Thor (Chris Hemsworth).

It’s unfortunate that the Loki’s Just Not That Into You film alluded to in the trailer wasn’t also the subject of a remix video. Johannson was actually in He’s Just Not That Into You, so that could have been another fun mashup.
