Rebuild the Mushroom Kingdom In Nintendo’s MARIO MAKER

Players now have the power to play Shigeru Miyamoto and create new levels for our favorite Italian plumber in Mario Maker. Using the Wii U’s gamepad and stylus, you can paint bricks, change the height of pipes, and drop in as many enemies as you think Mario can handle in an 8-bit or the more current, New Super Mario Bros U-style of art design.

Take a look at the trailer below that was revealed during Nintendo‘s E3 digital event:

With so many Super Mario Bros. imitators out there, it’s great to see Nintendo finally giving this much creative control to the fans. No word on the exact date of when the game is hitting stores, though we do know that we’ll be seeing it on the Wii U sometime in 2015.
