The World Finally Gets Around to Making Rainbow Bagels

I follow a lot of food accounts on Instagram. So many that when I scroll through, I wind up continuously changing my mind about what I want to eat next. One account that always brings me joy is The Bagel Store from Brooklyn, New York.

You see, theirs are no ordinary bagels. These are rainbow bagels—a bright, swirly, beautiful mess of color that look like a carb-high come to life. This isn’t The Bagel Shop’s first original creation, either. The proprietors invented the Cragel—a flaky croissant baked into a bagel—then moved on to their trademarked all-in-one Bacon, Egg & Cheese bagel. And now they’ve found Instagram fame with these delightfully colorful rainbow bagels.

These specialty bagels come in a variety of colors, from cotton candy pink and blue, to a special red and pink swirly Valentine’s-themed hue. A bouquet of bagels for the holiday? Yes, please. The Bagel Store has even rolled out Panthers and Broncos bagels for the Super Bowl. All of their bagels are so beautiful one of the ingredients has got to be unicorn tears.

As if the bagel itself wasn’t a technicolor masterpiece, you can get your schmear on with some of their unique spreads. Birthday Cake Funfetti Cream Cheese, Cannoli Cream Cheese, and even Nutella Cream Cheese.

One look at their Instagram and you’ll wish you had an edible rainbow to greet you every morning. Luckily, they ship nationwide… except for the cream cheese. For that, you’re on your own.

See the glory of rainbow bagels for yourself @thebagelstore on Instagram.
