When you were a kid and R.L. Stine‘s books scared you, it probably wasn’t cool to admit it to your friends, but now that we are adults we can finally acknowledge that those books totally creeped us out and we loved them because of it. That’s why we all might be finding room on our walls for these minimalist posters of some of the most famous Goosebumps books.
The folks at HalloweenCostumes.com created these modern takes based on the original covers, and you can print them out if you’re looking for a way to celebrate your favorite kid’s books while still pretending you are totally an adult that isn’t obsessed with your childhood.
Make sure you head over to check them all out and to see if your personal favorite is included, but here are a few of ours, along with the original book covers for comparison.
Book # 1: Welcome to Dead HouseÂ
Â
Book # 7: Night of the Living Dummy
Book # 16: One Day at Horrorland
Book # 17: Why I’m Afraid of Bees
For generations of kids, R.L. Stine was the gateway into the world of horror, and probably also the world of literature. It’s great to see the renewed interest in his work that the Goosebumps movie starring Jack Black has brought about, especially when we get something cool that we actually want to display.
Plus we got the greatest video ever.
Did your favorite Goosebumps book make the cut? If not, don’t be afraid to tell us in the comments section below which cover you’d like to see get the minimalist treatment.
