PROJECT X ZONE 2 Coming to North America

Bandai Namco, Sega, and Capcom are once again collaborating to bring the world its franchise star-studded Project X Zone 2. This strategic RPG, featuring a lot of iconic characters across various franchises, was recently announced for Japan with the subtitle A Brave New World– a subtitle it will be losing in the North American version releases in Fall of 2015. A new English trailer was released–shown above– to give fans a glimpse of some of the cast that will be included in the title. While no gameplay is shown, we got a couple of character reveals and now know that it takes place 2 years after the original. This should definitely be enough to get fans excited for a sequel.

The first game got a mixed reception from critics, but sold well enough to warrant a sequel. According to the trailer, the game is a “tribute to all gamers,” and is set to include some “miraculous encounters”. Even those that weren’t huge fans of the original must admit that watching some of our favorite heros interact with each other on the 3D screen is a lot of fun. You can check out the list of franchises and games that will be included in the game below.

List of games included in the cross-over

Resident Evil Revelations

Resident Evil 6

Some are more recognizable than others to say the least, but it looks like they are trying to do it even bigger than before. This is an impressive cast that should only get more impressive assuming there are some franchises that haven’t been revealed to be included yet. As an aside, it didn’t take long for Capcom to recognize the success of Resident Evil: Revelations as a franchise. We thought Revelations 2 was a nice improvement to the series so good on them for further promoting the games.

If this newly announced sequel can build on the first one, then it could be something special. Even if it doesn’t blow our minds, it is always fun to have such large companies come together and have some fun with their characters.
