Anti-dentites, low talkers and frequent Jerk Store patrons rejoice! There’s finally a quick reference guide to everyone the cast of Seinfeld ever crossed paths with.
In the realm of die-hard fandom, The Connected Characters of Seinfeld deserves some sort of award. The print, recently shared on a post from Laughing Squid, features over 230 characters from the show about nothing. Each portrait features a ring around it that specifies their link to other characters and the type of relationship be it friendly, antagonistic, romantic, professional, or familial . And it’s not just their connections to Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer. Some, like George and Jerry’s romantic endeavours, are one-offs and only hold a single connection but a great deal of them have multiple links to other supporting characters often spanning across entire episodes.
The amount of research that went into this print had to have been absolutely daunting, but it’s a sure sign that its designer is way beyond normal levels of Seinfeld fandom. Even the description of the print on Pop Chart Labs is brimming with Seinfeldian references stating it’s “From Kramerica Industries, in association with Art Vandelay (heâs an importer/exporter)” and the “sponge-worthy schematic sorts the sitcomâs subjects by frequency of appearance, then maps each characterâs connection to Jerry, Elaine, Kramer, and yada, yada, yada.”
Staring at this 24″ x 36″ print, which can be pre-ordered for $35, I can’t help but think that this needs to be made into a Seinfeld version of the old Guess Who? game.
Who are your favorite Seinfeld characters? Did the chart leave any important ones out? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
