Just a few days ago, somebody bought some of David Bowie’s hair in an auction for upwards of $18,000. In that same auction, Prince’s Yellow Cloud guitar also sold for $137,500, but for superfans who missed out on their shot at rare Prince memorabilia the first time, no need to worry: The motorcycle jacket he wore in the Purple Rain movie will soon be up for auction on eBay.
The good news is that if you have $6,000, you can possibly get your foot in the door, because that’s the starting bid on the jacket, but if you’re a bit more budget-conscious, the signature ruffled dress shirt that he also wore in the movie has a starting bid of a reasonable $3,000.
The items are listed as part of eBay’s Hollywood Auction 83, and it actually has some pretty cool items aside from the Prince stuff, like a prop Apollo Creed button from Rocky II, an original Star Wars script, a screen-used animatronic alien egg from Aliens, and a bunch of other neat things. Whatever it is you choose to geek out over, this auction has you covered, provided you also have some extremely deep pockets.
