Preview: DEATHSTROKE #9 is Packed with Death, Destruction, and Decapitation

All eyes may be on Deadpool lately, but Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth would never have existed if it weren’t for DC Comics’ resident sword-wielding badass, Deathstroke, a.k.a. Slade Wilson. In his ongoing series, Deathstroke has been making like the Blues Brothers, which is to say he’s on a mission from God. Excuse me, I meant he’s on a mission to kill a god. More specifically, he is on a mission to kill the Titan Iapetus. However, like all best-laid plans, Deathstroke soon found himself plunged into the depths of hell alongside Wonder Woman. Though the unlikely duo clawed their way back to Themyscira, Iapetus and his hordes are cutting a bloody swath through the Amazons. Can Deathstroke and Wonder Woman save the day or is this the end for the residents of Paradise Island? Does Slade really know how to use the God-Killer Sword? And what’s that about Superman entering the fray? Find out in our exclusive preview of DC Comics’ Deathstroke #9, written by James Bonny and Tony S. Daniel, and illustrated by Sandu Florea and Daniel. Plus there’s even a sweet DC Bombshells cover from Emanuela Lupacchino for good measure!
