President Obama, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Bill Nye Star In This Geeky Selfie

Teenage girls may take the most selfies, but the activity isn’t limited to any certain age group. You never know who you’ll catch turning the camera around, and this photo posted on Instagram by Bill Nye the Science Guy proves it. Nye was at the White House for the White House Student Film Festival, at which students from all over the United States were tasked with showing off technology in the classroom and explaining why it’s important to education. The Film Festival showcased 16 of the more than 2,500 entries.

When Nye had fellow attendees Neil deGrasse Tyson and President Barack Obama at arm’s length, he did the only thing you can do: he went for the Presidential selfie. Like he Tweeted, “So, an astrophysicist, an engineer, and the President of the United States walk into The Blue Room….” This may be the best selfie ever shared on social media.

The selfie action wasn’t limited to the President, Nye and deGrasse Tyson also snapped a pic with Kal Penn.

NdT has a chance to explain the Scientific Method to two morons who think they are smart because he is there. Hopefully he at least dropped off a copy of Carl Sagan’ s ‘Demon Haunted World” and begged Bill and Barrack to read it.

Quick, what do all these people have in common? They all think their opinion is so correct they do not see any reason to listen to other opinions or consider any evidence that does not support their already made up minds. That my friends is the opposite of critical thinking it is following dogma.

  7. JetpackBlues says:

Would rather see a picture of a President that surrounds himself with critical thinkers, as opposed to one whose policies are dictated by critical judgers….
