timothy olyphent should be preacher, also they need Saint of Sinners to be a spin off series

  2. Michael Gibson says:

I love Amc! They’ve handled The Walking Dead quite well so I trust that they can handle Preacher too. Come on Seth do a good job on this. Can’t wait for this one !! Might even wanna follow it with one of those follow up shows like Talking Dead, they have a great host. Perhaps he’d be willing to anchor this one too. (Love you Chris). Thanks for the great news! I’m on board.

  3. Marc says:

When they talk about Jesse helping his congregation, my guess would be they’re going to combine the intro to the comic with elements of the “Salvation” storyline.  I’m a big fan of Preacher, and I’m willing to give it a shot.

Chobot sounds like she’s reading a press release and sounds like she doesn’t know a whole lot about the comic.  Everything she cites as a reason to watch this is Exactly why this is going to blow.  No – we’re Not ok with these changes and if you were a fan you wouldn’t be either.
P.s. Seth Rogan- Again?! Leave my comics alone and make some more Barbara Streisand road trip movies.

Maybe she doesn’t know a lot about it? Is that a big deal? Maybe it was just something that never caught her attention. Or maybe she’s just not a fan of it. She also has a LOT of info to give so she could just be reading from a prompter and again, that’s ok. Can you do it and do it well? Also, putting a condition on being a fan of something is a bit pretentious. If you don’t have anything good to say don’t say it at all.

  5. John says:

Jesse is going to hang around his town and help solve their problems with the Word of God? Really?

  6. Wow! You guys seemed to really enjoy Bleeding Cool’s Preacher pilot review two days ago. So many similarities on the points you chose to spotlight – and ignoring the points we chose not to. Almost as if…

  7. Matt says:

I am not familiar with Preacher but it sounds interesting and has the potential to be a hit for AMC!

  8. Chobot says:

I’m down to try this out! With Constantine on the outs, I’m thinking this might help fill that weird religiously creepy supernatural hole left in my heart.
I also don’t find it necessary to follow comic story lines word for word/frame by frame AS LONG AS what is presented as a replacement is as good as the original.

  9. John says:

They are saying VERY awesome. I am thinking the dialogue and the scenes will be very good. I don’t mind stretching out the congregation plot, to better reinforce the fact that he’s a preacher or whatever. It is TV after all. But it better not last more than two-three episodes before it burns down.

Any indication of African American Tulip? I guess this script leaking around the same time as that bit of info, the two are connected.

There are reveals all the way through preacher, many of them have been given up right here in this video. I don’t like the idea of a paralell story about Genesis looking for a host, I could honestly care less about that kind of story, and it sounds like it would break away from the story that I’m actually interested in seeing. I’m super surprised by the extremely positive view of this from The Nerdist though. Maybe there’s something going on here that I’m not seeing, and perhaps I should be more open about this. I’m mostly out, but if you guys think it’s good, I’ll try and keep an open mind.
