POWERS Season 2 Trailer Prepares for War

The second season of Sony’s Playstation-exclusive series Powers is on its way, and now we have a taste of what to expect with this trailer for the next season. Season 2 will pick up exactly when Season 1 left off, as Walker is set to investigate the murder of Retro-Girl, one of the beloved heroes in Los Angeles. The public is not taking her death well, though, and it seems a lot of anti-hero sentiment is spreading around. Now, Walker and crew must investigate her murder, while trying to keep the city from tipping into chaos. Can the Powers keep the city intact and avoid a war among themselves at the same time?

The world of cinematic and televised superhero dramas would not be what it is today without Brian Michael Bendis. Without him, the world would not know or care about Marvel titles such as Jessica Jones, Guardians of the Galaxy, the Age of Ultron, and especially Powers. The trailer even makes use of the major success of Marvel and Netflix’s Jessica Jones series by referring to Bendis as the “co-creator of Jessica Jones.” After both Daredevil and Jessica Jones had so much praise come their way, its easy to forget that Powers released earlier this year as well, so it makes sense that the series would take any chance it has to piggyback off of their success. Hopefully, season two will remind everyone why they loved Powers before it’s overshadowed by the second season of Daredevil. There is currently no official release date for season 2 of Powers, but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we do!
