    Maybe it wasn’t a fevered dream. There is a microscopic animal called a Tardigrade or aka Water Bear. They would probably be even more disappointing than sea monkeys because they can’t be seen with the naked eye but they could feasibly be transported by mail and reactivated by adding water to moss. There are really amazing (can survive in space) and really adorable (the look like tiny bears)
