  1. Ross says:

You’re surprised that a corporation has the gall to tell people their sacrifice is its own reward, and that knowing “they’re a part of it” is better than getting money? Obviously, none of you have had a typical office job in the last 15-20 years.

Cole, please, for the sake of your own social standing, before you talk about liquor in public again, ask a career bartender to read the ingredient lists for your quiz aloud to you.

  2. Nate says:

Since we’re busy picking nits, I should point out that the “maximum low” score of 200 was the result of leaving every answer on the test blank. Since the SAT was (is?) scored in a way that penalizes wrong answers, it was theoretically possible to get scores below 200 if you answered *no* questions right, but did answer a bunch incorrectly.

That said, I’m going to assume that PFT was exaggerating for dramatic effect, as is occasionally his wont . . .

  3. Todd Mason says:

As all of us who cast their memories back to the dim, Reagan-infested 1980s can recall, SATs then (and now?) only went as low as 200 on the score…even the prodigious PFT thus is exposed as refashioner of verity in claiming 100 and 102 scores.

This, of course, was before they added to the Math and Verbal tests the Explicate Your Tattoo section of the exam…

  4. Jackson says:

I love Paul F. Tompkins, that is all.
