It would be wonderful if social media WAS a forum for open debate. It would be perfect if people thought about things they posted. Instead it has turned into a stream of consciousness thing. I think part of the problem is that people describe themselves as Republican or Democrat… you know? People shouldn’t describe themselves like that and they should be open to voting based on the particular issues of that time. It’s not like a sporting team you support unconditionally forever. Nor should it be religion or values that you inherit from your parents. Politics is real issues that affect real lives. I wish more people would think about that.
