Nerdist Channel Exclusive: A Peek At DC Nation’s New Plastic Man Short

Here’s a Nerdist Channel EXCLUSIVE: a clip from a Plastic Man short that’ll be part of the new Saturday morning DC Nation block on Cartoon Network. You might be aware that a few years back, there was a Plastic Man pilot with Tom Kenny co-producing and voicing the titular character, and the pilot didn’t make the air (it ended up as a DVD extra), but now there’ll be fresh cartoons as part of a very cool weekly block of programming on Cartoon Network that begins March 3rd at 10a (ET/PT), with Kenny back as the stretchy guy.

The block will be anchored by Green Lantern: The Animated Series and new episodes of Young Justice, but those will be accompanied by shorts featuring unique takes on DC characters and series, including Plas, Doom Patrol, and Teen Titans, plus Batman animated by Aardman Productions (!) and Wonder Girl, Batgirl and Supergirl joining together as Super Best Friends Forever, created by Lauren Faust of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, among others) fame.

This should be a lot of fun.

Oh no! Another “girly” Lauren Faust cartoon that I will probably love. Woe is me!

  2. Think4D says:

    Simply horrible.

  3. three toes of fury says:

woah…i skeptically clicked the “play” button above and…..LOVED IT!.

It feels like John K (ren/stimpy) animation combined with some of the punny visual humor found in early classic Tex Avery toons. Definitely a DVRable show.

Thanks nerdist for the heads up (pun intended)!!

    Peace n Duck Season, FIRE!
