Pizza Hut Is Bringing a Giant TMNT-Themed Pizza Thrower to Comic-Con

If there’s two things we here at Nerdist love, it’s Comic-Con and pizza, so when those two things come together, well, you might as well pinch us, because we must be dreaming… or suffering the first stages of starvation. One of the two. Comic-Con keeps a nerd busy, you know? However, this is no dream as it appears Pizza Hut is teaming up with Paramount Pictures for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cross-promotion at this year’s convention that will give con-goers the change to launch (fake) pizza at the enemies of the turtles with the help of a, wait for it, 12’ tall, 9’ wide pizza thrower. We’re not kidding. Here’s the video proof:

Developed by Synn Labs, the thrower will be open throughout the weekend and is by far one of the stranger promotions for fans to enjoy at this year’s convention. You can bet your sweet pizza we’ll be taking a trip over to the thrower to launch a couple pies at Shredder… that is, if we don’t eat them first. (Yes, we know they’re fake. Like we said, we’re hungry.)

Everything kicks off today in San Diego with preview night before diving full force into Comic-Con insanity on Thursday with hours upon hours of non-stop coverage so, after you have yourself a slice, do yourself a favor and bookmark our Nerdist SDCC splash page and follow @NerdistDotCom on Twitter and Instagram for everything we have coming at you from SDCC 2014.

Will you be checking out the pizza thrower? Let us know in the comments below!
