Pixar’s THE GOOD DINOSAUR is Done Being Scared in New Trailer

“I’m done being scared.” That’s the bold statement made by Arlo, the main characterasaurus from the upcoming animated Pixar film, The Good Dinosaur.

Disney has released another emotional trailer for its upcoming movie, and it promises a journey between two very unlikely friends, young Arlo, a lost Apatosaurus, and a young, wild human named Spot.

The movie is based on the idea that the meteor that caused the mass extinction of dinosaurs on Earth simply missed, and instead the dinos continued on as the planet’s dominant species. In that alternate reality humans still exist, but we have more in common with wild dogs than we do with the guys at the top of the food chain.

With both the buddy and journey storylines, this looks like it will be another movie in the great Pixar tradition of films like Up, Finding Nemo, and Toy Story.

Although Arlo, who gets swept away from his dad in a big storm, might announce he’s not going to be afraid anymore, one very old, wise T. rex does remind him that fear can be a good thing. “If you ain’t scared, you ain’t alive,” he says.

The Good Dinosaur is directed by Peter Sohn, and features the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jeffrey Wright, Anna Paquin, Frances McDormand, and Sam Elliott. It opens on Thanksgiving Day, November 25th.
