We all love action movies, but unlike other genres, the idea of indie action is a limited one. Because of how many resources are required to pull off a great action film, doing it on the micro-budget level is hard. Can you imagine Terminator 2, The Matrix or John Wick on a non-budget scale? Theyâd be widely different movies. But as technology continues advancing in filmmaking, the potential for low-budget action is becoming more and more of a reality. This year alone proves the possibility with the likes of the $5 million Joe Carnahan film, Stretch, and micro-budget action/comedy web-series, Video Game High School. Now, a new crowd-funding campaign is asking for your help to make an old-school actioner on a micro-budget level.
We like the passion, we like the energy, so weâd say Headshots is worth a look.
Thereâs two days left to take this one from dream to reality, and the best part? Itâs already 50% of the way there. All they need is your help to get over the last $13,000 hurtle. Should they get there, we have a feeling this is going to be one worth tracking as it progresses over the next few months.
