Who hasnât opened up a bag of Cheetos and seen Jesus? Or Kim Kardashian? Or Jesus taking a selfie with Kim Kardashian? If you do happen to see any of those things, take your powdery orange hands and pick up your phone immediately because Frito-Lay just might pay you handsomely for your findings.
While Burger King is tempting fate and your stomach with their new Mac ânâ Cheetos, Frito-Lay is asking you not to eat your food, but to analyze and photograph it. The snack company has opened up an online Cheetos Museum, where people from all over the world can upload their Cheetos masterpieces for all to see. While you may want to do this just for the fame and glory, you can actually gain so much more. Frito-Lay is offering up a chance at winning a share of $250,000. Forget the Olympics, this Cheeto hunt is the sporting event of the summer.
So perhaps youâve found a Cheeto that looks like it could be worth something (at least when you squint just right). What happens next? Take a photo and upload it to the Cheetos Museum. If youâre selected to be one of 10 finalists you will win $10,000. All for just for a snapshot of a chip that may or may not look like Tom Hiddleston dressed as Loki? Why, thatâs enough incentive to make me run to the local storeâs snack aisle and tear open bag after bag, looking for the golden ticket, Willy Wonka-style.
The online museum already has a few entries, including spokesperson Chester Cheetah’s own favorites. Some of the submissions require a bit of creative thinking. Okay, a lot of creative thinking but once you read the descriptions your eyes will glaze over and you’ll start to see visions of Cheetos dancing in your head too.
Now, hereâs the fine print: âWinners will be asked to authenticate their Cheetos.â Do you know what that means? Donât go snarfing down those snacks so fast. You must prove your cheesy worthiness to the Cheetos gods!
So board and bag it, itâll all be worth it when you take home a slice of that monetary prize. Playing with your food is finally going to pay off.

The Cheetos Museum contest runs on www.cheetosmuseum.com from now until August 15, 2016.
