Photographer Utilizes 3D Printing to Recreate FALLOUT 4’s Codsworth

3D printing is all the rage these days, so it doesn’t really come as a surprise that somebody decided to use it bring something from the Wastelands of Fallout 4 to life. While a Deathclaw, Synth, or weapon would have been cool, a photographer named Mark Mosinski decided to craft his very own Codsworth–the robotic butler made popular by recent game.

Although it won’t be able to hover around, complete tasks, or say a person’s name, we have to hand it to the artist. His recreation was pretty spot on. Luckily he documented a bit of the process, to his Instagram account: Iamterribbleatphotography.

Check out some of the highlights below:

It’s fascinating to see the beginning stages of the project.

We think it’s pretty close, don’t you?

He even made this fun stop motion video to show how the arms move! It seems pirates are no match for Codsworth, even if they have a Tardis in their possession.

Here’s the final product. Yeah, we pretty much need one of these in our lives, even if it doesn’t function the same way it does in the game.

While Fallout 4 doesn’t take the coveted GOTY position (at least for me) it’s certainly nice to see how its launch has fueled an interesting fan community. We’ve already seen LEGO recreations of characters, and the garage in the game, and a ton of mods like the one that allows you to wield a lightsaber in the game. I, for one, hope the crafts keep coming.
