Peggy Gets Her First Assignment in New AGENT CARTER Clip

While its second season is currently on a roll of pure excitement, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s mid-season finale is going to sneak up on us faster than a Hydra take-over of the world’s greatest spy organization. Knowing that, the last thing Marvel wanted to do is keep us hanging, and that’s where Agent Carter’s going to come in this January. Serving as a limited-series event to fill S.H.I.E.L.D.’s season cap, Agent Carter will be Marvel Television’s chance to prove their more than just a one trick, Team Coulson pony, and the studio (along with the help of ABC) has finally unveiled a meaty clip from the new show:

Carter, Stark, and Jarvis… this clip is totally hitting all the right notes. And that action bit at the end? Come on, that’s what we’re here to see: Peggy kicking major butt as the first great S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

Seriously though, this show has a lot going for it. Not only will it feature two episodes directed by both Captain America film directors (we count the Russos as a single-celled organism) and a pilot written by film writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the duo running it, Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, have a great track record for excellent television. Don’t believe us? Just answer this one question: have you seen Reaper? Yeah? Their show. Not to mention one of last season’s biggest success stories, Resurrection, is theirs as well.

Agent Carter is in great hands, and this clip is total proof of that. But if you want to know more, just go listen to Butters and Fazeka on the Nerdist Writers Panel.

Aside from the sentence’s clunkiness, “their” should be “they’re.” Please edit your work before publication.
