Peggy Carter Returns to AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. in New Clip

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been on an insane ride that’s quickly building to its mid-season finale later in December. Most recently, we learned a major detail about the carvings Coulson keeps putting into the wall: they’re not meant to be viewed two dimensionally, but rather three, and when done so, they form extraterrestrial blue prints for an unknown city. Now with a new adventure set in motion, eyes are now turning to the mysterious object known as the obelisk in the next episode of the series, and thanks to IGN, we have an all new clip featuring none other than soon to be TV star Hayley Atwell as her famed Peggy Carter. Check it out:

All these guests appearances are getting us really excited for ABC’s upcoming Agent Carter set to debut in January.

It’ll be interesting to see if any of this obelisk’s arc plays into the forthcoming event-series. Perhaps Whitehall could appear under his older WWII alias of Werner Reinhardt on the show and build the bridge that leads to him still being the same age in 2014. While it may be wishful thinking, it is something that would help bridge that two ABC S.H.I.E.L.D. dominant series together.

Of course many of our questions could get answered in the winter finale in order to launch the second season of the Clark Gregg led drama in a new direction come its return in March. There’s a lot to ponder and plenty of time to do it, so get questioning people! That’s what Marvel loves for us to do, right?

How do you think Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will connect? Let us know in the comments below.

As for him being the same age, they’ve already established that Hydra has cryogenic technology as seen in CA: Winter Soldier.
