“They should have sent a poet…”

For years restaurants have tried to improve on pizza with any number of innovations. First they tried stuffing the crust with cheese, then pepperoni, then finally they just gave up and put hot dogs in there. They’ve made the crust itself out of bacon, and put toppings on it ranging from pineapple and mozzarella sticks to foie gras and fish eggs. But they spent so long trying to improve pizza they never stopped to realize they couldn’t improve something that is already perfect; they only needed to give us more of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, we bring to you the greatest pizza development yet–the pizza box pizza. A box for your pizza made entirely out of pizza.

It’s like, how much more pizza could this be? And the answer is none. None more pizza.

We ran across this game-changer at The Comeback, to whom we are forever grateful. The pizza box pizza is the invention of Vinnie’s Pizzeria in Brooklyn, and for those of you who are able to immediately go get one of these (please report back on it, and thank you) they have two locations in Williamsburg and Greenpoint.

While I am not close enough myself to go get one, I did call for the rest of you, and one of these Inception-style pizzas, which is essentially three pizzas based on its looks, will run you 40 dollars. (Not to mention all the time you’ll save not having to throw away a big awkward cardboard box after, which is the sneaky worst thing about ordering pizza.)

Nothing will ever be the same again.
