Parodies of “All About That Bass” Focus on Basting and Space

There’s no such thing as too many parodies, right? Right. Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” is a popular choice for rewrites. The infectious beat and lyrics are sort of perfect for it. Team Unicorn put a galactic Star Wars spin on the tune for us with “All About That Base: No Rebels,” and we’ve got two more amusing versions to share. One’s about basting and the other is about space. Yes, basting and space. You read that right.

If you have turkey on the brain, you’ll appreciate “All About That Baste” from The Holderness Family. It takes a lot of work and diligence to cook a giant fowl and the dinner spread that accompanies it on Thanksgiving, and this parody makes it funny. This family is goofy in the best kind of way, and I’m a little jealous of the kids because I have no parody-singing memories from childhood.

It’s time to leave our universe for the realm of science fiction for the next revamp of “All About That Base.” The ladies of CREATURE put together a message for J.J. Abrams with “All About That Space.” Han Solo, Captain Kirk, Star-Lord, Number Six, Spock, and Princess Leia dance and tell Abrams about what works in sci-fi films and remakes and what doesn’t. Also, there are a lot of tribbles.

Now I want to watch Star Trek and have turkey.
