“What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That’s a pretty good idea. I’ll give you the moon, Mary.”
It’s fair to say that George Bailey may have set gift expectations a bit high when he proposed that idea, but now through an Indiegogo campaign, we can all have a planetary satellite of our very own.
Appropriately named “Luna,” these non-toxic latex and fiberglass moons are now available to pre-order and can be the envy of all your friends by mid 2016. With different levels of perks to choose from, you can own a Luna ranging in size from extra extra small (3.2 inches) to XXL (23.6 inches). Lit with long-lasting halogen bulbs, these lamps (though not topographically accurate) would fit in as conversation pieces in almost every decor.
A Luna lamp could be everything from an imagination-building setting for young minds walking their toys across its surface to quite possibly the best romantic lighting source imaginable (well, second best considering we all have the real moon available to us).
Sadly, these amazing lamps do come at a hefty price, so be prepared to fork over some serious cheddar (GET IT!?) as the XS 5.9 inch version will set you back $150 while the XXL comes in at a whopping $875.
What do you think of Luna? Cooler than the Cloud Lamps? Or the Baymax Lamp? Or the Star Wars lamps!? Is it weird we have a lot of lamp content? Let’s debate in the comments below!
