OVERWATCH Release Date Confirmed! Here’s The New Trailer

Earlier this morning, rumors concerning Overwatch‘s release were spurred into motion after Reddit user Deadpoolthegreat spotted a leaked ad campaign for the game on IGN. In the image below (which he was able to take a screenshot of before it was taken down), it was revealed that the game would be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 24, 2016. Additionally, it also promised that fans who pre-order the game  would receive early access to the open beta starting from May 3. The good news is, Blizzard has already addressed and confirmed the rumored release date in a brand new trailer.

Overwatch Leak

In the trailer at the top of the page, we got another look at the upcoming squad-based first person shooter. It’s certainly looking clean. From what we’ve played, the combat is a lot of fun, so we can’t wait to get our hands on the full version once it finally hits shelves in May.

The company also confirmed that those who pre-order the game will indeed be granted early access to the open beta on May 3. Those who don’t pre-order the title will be able to try it out a few days later on May 5, and play until it concludes on May 9.

“In the open beta, players will have an opportunity to play all 21 heroes and experience the intense action, tactical depth, and vibrant world of Overwatch prior to the game’s release,” the publisher said of the beta.

This is a perfect opportunity for those who are interested in the game but haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. With all 21 heroes available, we’ll definitely be checking it out as well.
