Alright ye’ Sassenachs, if you canna handle the sexiness coming on Outlander when Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) finally reunite, dinna fash. Now you can pour yerself a dram of Outlander-themed wine while you watch the next episode of the worldwide hit series, “A. Malcolm,” a.k.a. what shall forever be known as the infamous Print Shop Episode (yes, I’m capitalizing it because this is a very. Big. Moment.) airing in two weeks on Sunday, October 22.
The Outlander: The Series wine collection is back with a new installment from wine company Lot18 in partnership with Sony Pictures Television. The limited-edition collection features six hand-crafted blends, sold individually or as a full set. Each wine bottle comes with a uniquely designed label that honors both Claire and Jamie, as each of the six wines are named after their most well-known monikers and are meant to highlight their different personalities: Sassenach, La Dame Blanche, Mo Nighean Donn, A. Malcolm, Red Jamie, and Mac Dubh. Talk about the perfect companion for the supersized, sex-filled reunion of the two long-lost loves! You thought the season one wedding episode was hot? Just wait until you see the 74-minute “A. Malcolm.” Yer gonna need more than a wee dram of wine to settle your heart rate.
The descriptions for each of the wines could not be better. For example the Sassenach is a Languedoc-la-clape Rosé. Lot 18 connects the character to the wine: “This rosé is Provençal in style, but like Claire, it comes from an unexpected place–Languedoc-la-clape, where the limestone-rich soil lends the wine its flavors of strawberry, white peach and grapefruit, racy minerality, and clean finish. Sometimes a fresh new perspective is exactly what’s needed.”
Perfect, no? If you want to sip some of this delicious wine, you need to act fast–there are limited quantities of each collector’s edition bottle and they’re all on sale now through Lot 18 while supplies last. You should at least go read the descriptions of all the wine. Every order will come with a complete set of tasting notes for all six wines.
