Our Brains Can’t Handle Watching ARROW Meet STAR WARS

When it started, and even well into its second season, many have looked at The CW’s Arrow and proclaimed it to be a small screen version of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy – going so far as to draw clear comparisons between the show and Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises. However, the reason one can make those comparisons isn’t because Arrow is ripping off Nolan’s Batman, it’s because Arrow is one of the most well-constructed and simplified versions of a super-hero story committed to live action in a long time.

Because of this, it’s very easy to infuse the story of Oliver Queen with a variety of different properties, but today’s entry might be the best we’ve ever seen as one wise fan has turned the mid-season finale from this year into a Star Wars movie.

Just watch:

For crying out loud, they even added a damn Star Wars score just to sell the whole thing!

Something this video really makes clear is the cinematic nature of The CW series. While we often find ourselves proclaiming “it looks like a damn movie” every week, this fan edit kind of proves the point. Even something as timeless and epic as Star Wars infuses perfectly with the series to deliver something we’d love to see more of if given the chance.

Honestly, no matter how many promos or posters The CW releases, we can’t imagine anything getting us more excited for the back half of Arrow‘s third season, which premiered this past week, than this.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.

It was only after watching the first Arrow Jedi video with Slade Wilson that I decided to go back and watching the first two seasons of Arrow to begin with.  Great work, Dave.

This was very interesting. The only part that kinda bothered me was that it was sped up a little bit (or at least it seemed that way).

Great video overall. But the ending with the Falcon and the Wilhelm scream really cracked me up 🙂
