OH! MY! GODDESS!
I thought I was excited already over the news that a new Sailor Moon anime was in the works, but today North American anime distributor Viz Media announced that it has licensed the original Sailor Moon anime franchise. That’s 200 gratifying television episodes, three fantastic feature films, and a slew of tie-in specials that will make you fangirl so damn hard (or maybe just me)!
Hulu Plus’ stocks may rise in the next week as Viz Media has partnered with them to stream the anime in all of its uncut and remastered glory starting MONDAY, May 19! That includes the never-before-aired season featuring the Sailor Stars. The series will also appear on Viz Media’s streaming service, Neonalley.com.
We’ll get the first four episodes this upcoming Monday, with two more episodes releasing every “Moon Day,” as coined by Viz Media. The English dubbed version will appear later in 2014 with an all new American voice over cast.
If you aren’t hyped yet, watch in wonder at the trailer below:
Along with the rebroadcasting of this classic anime, Viz Media has plans to release DVD and Blu-ray/DVD combos in half season sets starting this fall.

Supper-mega excited!!! ♥♥♥
Very excited for this. I loved Sailor Moon when I was little and it/she still holds a place in my heart.
Do I need a hulu plus account? Cause if so… lol no thanks. I’ll just watch the subs still.
You can always wait & buy the DVDs. That’s what I’m planning on. =D
Im really excited, not only for my inner child who woke up wayyy early before school to catch the episodes. But also for my girls today. Really wish it was Monday already 🙂
