ORI AND THE WILL OF THE WISPS Trailer Shows Beauty and Danger

Four years ago, Moon Studios’ Ori and the Blind Forest charmed us with its lush visuals and its Metroidvania-style. Now, the white spirit guardian is coming back in Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Microsoft showed off an extended trailer for the sequel during its E3 2018 event, and it caught up with Ori as he helps raise a young Owl and even teaches it to fly. Presumably the new owl is the child of Kuro, from the first game. Ori and the young owl will have a perilous trek ahead of them, as the new footage reveals the stunningly beautiful graphics and the dangers that await in the dark.

The trailer offers a glimpse of the vast and immersive environment, as well as the puzzles and boss battles. This is also a game that’s going to play on gamers’ emotions as they follow the threads of Ori’s true destiny wherever it may lead them.

Fortunately, players will be armed with new spirit weapons, spells, and skills as well as dynamic combat mechanics. This will allow gamers to customize their arsenal to better match their style of play as they challenge the forces of darkness and encounter new allies.

Microsoft didn’t announce a concrete launch date for Ori and the Will of the Wisps, but it is expected to be released in early 2019 with enhanced visuals for the Xbox One X.
