Onyx the Fortuitous Makes a Scene of His Love for Hearthstone (and Other Stuff) at BlizzCon

For 11 years now, BlizzCon has served as the proper meeting place for those many Hearthstone addicts that can be found all across the country. As this year’s convention brought with it the announcement of the game’s newest expansion, “Mean Streets of Gadgetzan”—not to mention appearances by Weird Al Yankovic and Hodor himself—it was indeed the place to be for any Hearthstone diehard. And we don’t know anybody who fits that description better than Onyx the Fortuitous does.

You might know Onyx from his new web series “Welcome to the Shadow Zone,” which we introduced not long ago right here at Nerdist. If you’ve checked out the show, you’re surely familiar with the great passion Onyx exudes for all things mystical and occult. That passion comes across tenfold when Onyx meets up with Jessica Nigri at BlizzCon ’16.

Though just one of many Hearthstone fans that Nigri interviews about the game and its new revelations, Onyx is no doubt the most vocal about his love for the game—nay, way of life—for which the masses have communed. Perhaps more surprising, however, are some of the other interests that come through in Onyx’s enthusiastic diatribe to an increasingly vexed Jessica, most prominent among them being the 1980s sitcom Perfect Strangers.

In between Onyx’s nonsensical rants, we actually do get to hear a few promising notes about Hearthstone‘s latest expansion, which is slated to release in December. Watch the above video to learn more about “Mean Streets of Gadgetzan”… and yes, just a little bit about That’s So Raven.
