ARROW Sizzle Teases Return of Sara and Ray’s Possible Fate at NYCC

Arrow season 4 has just gotten underway, and if you caught Wednesday’s premiere, you know that we are in store for a change in the status quo (check out Sydney Bucksbaum‘s recap here). Fans at New York Comic Con this weekend got to see a sizzle reel for what’s to come this season, and now we have it here for you.

A lot of the footage is from the premiere, like the introduction of Damien Darhk and Oliver’s transformation into Green Arrow. But there was also some new stuff, too: the arrival of longtime Batman villain Anarky (debuting on Wednesday.) There was also a glimpse of John Constantine, who’s slated to appear in episode 5.

And the tease also made clear Arrow‘s role in ushering in the Legends of Tomorrow, as Ray Palmer and Sara Lance (both looking very much alive) are shown. Sara’s resurrection looks to come from a trip to the Lazarus Pit, guaranteeing the new leader of the League of Assassins—Malcolm Merlyn—had some part in it. Ray is only seen for  brief moment on a video monitor. My theory is that he was able to get his shrinking technology to work just in time, but is now stuck at microscopic size. To me, that is where Legends of Tomorrow will start, with Ray’s rescue.

Arrow airs Wednesday nights on The CW. Legends of Tomorrow premieres this January.

So what do you think? Are you excited to see what Arrow does to lead into Legends of Tomorrow? How do YOU think Ray survived? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
