Now is The Best Time to Upgrade to A Next-Gen Console

Some early adopters of the PS4 and Xbox One will find this hard to understand, but there are still a ton of people who are reluctant to upgrade from their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. Things like price point, lack of backward compatibility, and the dwindling availability of games across all platforms–titles like Destiny are on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well–have made many people forgo taking the leap up to next-gen bliss.

But with the holiday season is full effect, many of the previous grievances being rectified, and too many specialty console bundles releasing to count on two hands, is it time to upgrade to a next-gen console? We’ll be discussing that on this week’s episode of Nerdist: Play, along with what each console has to offer with their latest updates. Are you leaning toward a PS4 now that the price is down? Does the Xbox One’s backward compatibility seem appealing to you? Let us know if you’re making the jump, and where to, in the comments below.

Nerdist Gaming is growing and you can find us all over the internet these days! If you’d like to continue the conversation, you can check us out every week on our Twitch channel or every day on our Facebook page! Also, if you’d like to chat about video games with me directly, I’m only one tweet away @Malik4Play.
