Nick Fury Is Headed Back To AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., Says Samuel L. Jackson Himself

**SPOILERS FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER**

Fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will remember the surprise cameo of Samuel L. Jackson as his famed MCU character, Nick Fury, in the tag of the second episode of the series back in October. Since then, many have wondered when Jackson would make his return to the series, and thanks to the man himself, today, we have an answer, thanks to Vulture.

At the premiere of his wife’s Broadway play, A Raisin in the Sun, in New York City, Jackson was asked if he’d be back on the show anytime soon.  He responded, “I did! Last week! I just shot the end-of-the-season show.” He then refrained from spilling any further details such as what his involvement in the season finale episode would be, and if it would be more than just a cameo this time around.

Fans that had a chance to catch Captain America: The Winter Soldier over the weekend will remember that Fury maintained the illusion of his death in order to fight the remaining cells of Hydra in secret, just as the original creators of S.H.I.E.L.D. once operated. One must wonder what could bring him out of hiding and more so, why he must team up with Coulson. But whatever the reason, we should expect full blown awesomeness come day-of.

The season finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is currently slated for May 13th.
