New Villain Revealed in BATMAN V SUPERMAN Images

With just two months left until release, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is hitting that promotional train hard with teasers, trailers, interviews, magazine covers, TV spots, TV specials, posters, and tie-ins galore. But a recent Empire Magazine feature is packed with some of the most intriguing details about the superhero face-off flick yet, including more confirmation that the ultimate big bad of DC Extended Universe is Darkseid, the ruler of the planet Apokolips and hater of stuff like “free will.” We’ve previously noted that, in a recent trailer, Batman appears to be attacked by parademons, Darkseid’s henchman. And now a new image of the parademon attack scene gives even more credence to the theory, as Darkseid’s “omega” symbol is seen scorched into the earth. We also know some more specifics about Wonder Woman: She’s 5000 years old and, somewhere between World War II and Dawn of Justice, she loses her faith in humanity. So how will she be convinced to rejoin the fight for humankind?

Join Jessica Chobot (and Batman Bust) as we breakdown what we can learn about Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the villains they’ll be fighting from the new magazine feature, teasers, and images, on today’s Nerdist News!
