With ÂX-Men: Days of Future Past securely in theaters for the masses to judge, Paramount is taking the gloves off for the next giant summer franchise tent-pole, Michael Bayâs Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Earlier this week, we showed you a new international trailer and one-sheet for the film, today we bring you a new viral video and three TV spots that remind us why weâll all be seeing this movie opening night:
This whole world in recovery angle Age of Extinction seems to be taking is intriguing. It should also put a final answer the question: Is this movie a reboot? Weâre seeing bits of the last movie here, so no, this isnât a reboot. Based on this spot, this latest outing with the series is going to launch things in a whole new direction, which is exactly what the franchise needs at this point.
The best thing about these spots could be Kelsey Grammer. His exact role in the story is being kept under wraps, but these spots make make you wonder how much power he actually holds. Is he paranoid, a disciple of Galvatron, ready to give Mark Wahlberg some psychological advice? We won’t know until the dinobots emerge.
As we enter the meaty bits of the summer season, expect to see a lot more fighting robot goodness coming out of Paramount over the next few weeks.
Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters June 27th.
