New TOMORROWLAND Trailer Shows a Daring Escape, All Kinds of Action

Who’s ready to take another trip into Tomorrowland? The film from Disney will hit theaters on May 22, and though that means we’ll probably see a few more sneak peeks, the impression I get from promos is secrecy is important. The third trailer for the sci-fi movie peels back layers to show us some intense action that hints at the tech available in this world, but it does so without giving away too much more about the plot–which I am all about.

Trailers in this day and age (yeah, I’m old and cranky) show far too much of the movies they’re only supposed to be dropping hints of. Some teasers still do it right–like this one for Tomorrowland and what we’ve seen so far with Star Wars: The Force Awakens–but the norm has become the act of revealing the entire plot. That’s just not necessary. I only have the slightest hint of what’s happening in Tomorrowland, but because of the footage they’ve cut together, I’m curious and excited to see it for other reasons than the Disney parks connection.

This latest look inside the film lets us know the mysterious pin that comes to Casey (Britt Roberts) has stopped transporting her to another world. She somehow finds Frank (George Clooney) and asks him for assistance in getting back to the futuristic location. However, it’s not long before trouble follows Casey, and Frank has to grab her and make a daring escape–an escape he’s apparently had planned for quite some time. It’s an action-packed couple of minutes with plenty to see and get excited about, and while the trailer is more than mere eye candy, it happily doesn’t go into too many details about Tomorrowland.

What do you think of the newest Tomorrowland trailer? Would you rather it showed off more of the story? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
