New TMNT 2 Action Figures Might Give Away All The Cameos

The trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows showed us that we’re getting a heaping helping of classic turtle goodness with the addition of classic baddies Bebop and Rocksteady (played Gary Anthony Williams and Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly). Shredder, Baxter Stockman and Casey Jones even make appearances. And yet, something’s missing. There have been rumors about upcoming cameos, and to any casual TMNT fan you know that means only one very VERY important character that everyone knows…

Alright, enough messing around. It’s Krang. We’re talking about Krang. The new line of action figures for the movie look a bit more like the TMNT action figs of yesteryear but still manage to keep their updated look. That’s probably for the best — action figures of the hyper-realistic toad-from-the-Super-Mario-Bros-movie figures would just be off-putting. But take a look at the bottom right of the lineup.

Why it’s our old pal Krang in an updated robotic suit. Krang’s gotta keep up with modern fashion if he expects to be a fancy brain about town, so gone are the days of red underpants and suspenders. From here on out it’s shoulder pads and Ugg boots! Not that movie merchandise can be a trusted indication of what happens in a movie but there also seems to be some sort of Technodrome type play set as well!

Should Krang turn up, our money is on a post-credits scene teasing a third movie, but it’ll still be cool to see him in the gross flesh.
