This Darth Vader Toothpick Dispenser is Just What Your Kitchen Needs

It never seemed possible that I would face a threat from the Force in my own kitchen, but thanks to the genius nerds who make Star Wars toys, that fear could be very real. Check out this incredibly fun new way to give anyone, even your abandoned son who came to thwart your galactic empire, a toothpick.

The Force is strong with this addition to the Star Wars collectible universe. It looks like toothpicks are stored in the slightly wider than accurate cape that is part of the classic Darth Vader costume, and when a secret panel is triggered, they are grasped by the figure’s hand to swing around just like his lightsaber. Sure, some fans might be unhappy with the natural wood toothpicks, but I’m sure you can find some red toothpicks from a novelty store if authenticity is really important to your kitchen aesthetic.

It seems completely plausible that Darth Vader would have a toothpick dispenser like this in his own quarters on the Death Star, or possibly that Kylo Ren has had something similar created for his kitchen on Starkiller Base. He seemed a little more than obsessed when I saw the movie.

The dispenser will be available for $26 this June, but there’s some speculation as to whether or not it will be available outside of Japan, so you’re going to want to keep your eyes peeled for updates on this one as the months pass. Until then, I’m sure that the enterprising among you can figure out how to make a dollar store toothpick holder look like R2-D2, and I want to see your creations!
