New STAR WARS Classic and THE FORCE AWAKENS Funko POPs

Last September, the world let out a collective gasp of both childlike wonder and grown-up-like consternation when all of the merchandise for the seventh Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, dropped and people’s shelves got richer while their pockets got poorer. In the months since, many more such items have been released and none more fervently than the Funko POPs, which naturally spread their universal dominance of every pop cultural property known to anyone. To celebrate May the 4th, Funko announced its third wave of The Force Awakens vinyl figures, as well as a few new classic trilogy guys just for funsies.

For The Force Awakens bunch, you can get everybody’s favorite First Order stormtrooper, FN-2199–i.e. the baton trooper who yells “traitor” at Finn–along with helmet-less Kylo Ren, General Hux, Rey in the lightsaber fight, General Leia, Old Luke Skywalker, and even X-Wing pilot Snap Wexley, in case you’ve always wanted a Greg Grunberg figure on your desk. In addition, there’s Maz Kanata, the droid ME-809, and a Guavian.

There are also some special figures that are exclusive to different stores: Rey chilling in a helmet can be purchased only at Game Stop; Rey reaching the lightsaber out to Luke Skywalker is a Wallgreens ‘sclu; Poe Dameron in his jacket with a blaster rifle is only available to by at Hot Topic; Poe in his flight suit, sans helmet, is an FYE exclusive; and Maz Kanata without her goggles is a Target exclusive. So get ready for that.

And for the classic figures, you can get Luke in his Bespin attire, Luke in his Endor attire, and Yoda from Dagobah. So there you go. Lotta Skywalkin’ going on.

This new batch will hit stores and online retailers this July. See the full gallery of figures below!
