New Skottie Young Lil’ Marvel SDCC Exclusive Pins are Adorable

Comic book illustrator Skottie Young has been making quite a name for himself these past several years, partially for his comics set in the world of L.Frank Baum’s Oz novels, but mainly for his adorable baby-sized heroes variant covers for Marvel Comics. In addition to his lil’ Marvel series of covers, recently Young has been the designer of a series of collector’s pins featuring the pint-sized Marvel characters as exclusives for Comic-Con International in San Diego. This year he continues that tradition with an all-new set of pins, which will be available in limited quantities at the Marvel booth (#2329).

Now ComicBook.com can has revealed Marvel Entertainment’s set of exclusive pins for Comic-Con 2016, and many of Marvel’s most popular characters of the moment will get a pin designed with Young’s humorous touch. Included among this year’s selections are characters like Ant-Man, Black Panther, the Winter Soldier, Deadpool, Hawkeye, Gwenpool, Deathlok, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, the Punisher, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man, Thor, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Iron Man, Tony Stark, Howard the Duck, Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Doctor Strange, Venom, Hercules, Daredevil, Black Widow, and also three mystery chase pins.

At the Marvel booth, fans will also be able to buy a series of 2-packs—including sets of The Winter Soldier and Captain America, Groot and Rocket Raccoon, Iron Man and Tony Stark, with Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man rounding out the group. Marvel’s big movie stars of 2016 like Deadpool, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther will also be offered individually as incentives for fans who purchase a To Be Determined amount. As for the remaining pins—including the mystery chase pins—they’ll be made available in blind boxes.

So far, Marvel has not revealed pricing for the 2-packs or the blind boxes, but more info is expected to be revealed before the con. The pins will be available while supplies last at the Marvel booth at Comic-Con, July 21-24.
