Grab your favorite block of C4 (we really hope you don’t have one of those) and some duct tape because Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman are back this July 18th at 9PM ET/PT with brand new episodes of Discovery’s longest-running series MythBusters.
Last season we brought you highlights and results from all the duo’s explosive hijinks, from how many weapons a video game hero could actually carry to swinging across a gap like Indiana Jones, and this season sounds just as exciting/educational. According to a press release, this season Adam and Jamie will be testing another series of Star Wars myths, including dodging a stormtrooper’s blaster shot. We’ll also find out whether or not a falling pane of glass could cut a bystander in half, if Hollywood hitmen are really crack-shots, and if a rock ejected from a lawnmower is effectively a bullet.
And in the first episode, Adam and Jamie will team up with Breaking Bad‘s executive producer Vince Gilligan to test a homemade machine gun like the one Walter White used in the finale of the show!
The new season of MythBusters, which has, up to this point, filmed over 8,000 hours, set off 880 explosions, and used 62,500 yards of duct tape, airs July 18th on Discovery.
